John A. Hauser, MBA
Spurred by the failure of financial institutions and regulatory agencies to adequately inform and protect the American consumer, Mr. Hauser founded the American College of Personal Finance in 2008. He has uniquely positioned the College to promote financial literacy and empower the individual to make smart financial choices. He is an accomplished professional with work and teaching experience in financial analysis, portfolio management, retirement and personal financial planning.
Mr. Hauser teaches Foundations of Personal Finance FP/101 and Foundations of Business BUS/201 online at Axia College and the University of Phoenix.
He was recently employed as a Senior Data & Systems Analyst for Monrovia Nursery. He has held a number of other important positions at Monrovia including; Treasury Manager, Billing Administrator and Financial Analyst.
Mr. Hauser founded Global Portfolio Management, a fee-only SEC, Washington and Idaho registered investment adviser in 1993 and managed the day-to-day operations until he sold the firm in 2000. He pioneered the application of institutional knowledge, practices and tools for the benefit of individual investors and 403(b) and 401(k) retirement plan participants.
Mr. Hauser earned a Master of Business Administration in Finance & Statistics from Washington State University in 1992 and taught Business Strategy & Policy - Management 491, a senior-level, capstone course from 1998 to 1999.
